Dear Sister,
We want to acknowledge that February is Heart Awareness Month. If you or a family member is dealing with heart problems, I send you my love and support. Heart disease is a significant cause of death and while some risk factors like family history are non-modifiable, you can take several actions to decrease your risk of heart disease. Here are a few things to help you jump ahead of making sure you put your heart first.
Be informed of your family health history
Communicate with your doctors
Request regular health screening test
Rest your body and manage your stress level
Eat healthy
Maintain a healthy weight
Be active (walking, jogging, hiking, swimming, etc......)
No smoking
Reduce alcohol consumption
Keep your blood pressure and diabetes under control
Possible signs of heart disease:
Chest pain
Shortness of breath or wheezing
Swelling in your legs, ankles, and feet
Feeling fatigue
Experiencing dizziness or fainting
If you have any concerns, please do your research and communicate with your doctor. A healthy lifestyle will blossom a beautiful woman. I look forward to sharing more of this type of information with you. Let's show some love all month long wearing something red and communicating with our friends/family on this topic. Have a beautiful and stress-free day.
Love, your sister
